The unit is straightforward to fit. What is worth getting right is the breaker size, whether you hardwire or not, and whether you might want a second connector on the same feed later.
Getting it right
These units are configurable and the breaker you put behind them sets what they deliver. Fitting a smaller breaker than the run supports quietly caps your charging speed for the life of the installation, and most people never find out.
So the sizing conversation happens before the install rather than after: what the service can carry, what the run supports, and what rate you actually need overnight. A panel inspection settles the first of those.
Hardwiring is the normal answer for these and is required at the higher ratings. Where the service is the limiting factor rather than the unit, level 2 charger installation covers the same ground for any brand, and a panel upgrade is the fallback where capacity genuinely runs out.

Two cars, one feed
Several of these units can share a single circuit, splitting the available current between whichever cars are plugged in. For a two-car household that is usually far cheaper than running a second dedicated feed later.
Even where the second connector is hypothetical, sizing the feed and leaving the provision costs very little at the time and a great deal afterwards. That is the same logic as sizing a transformer with headroom in outdoor and landscape lighting: the expensive part is going back.
Where the second space is detached, a garage or a shop, garage and shop wiring covers what feeding a separate building involves, and one trench is a great deal cheaper than two. This is permitted work either way, and rebates and permits sets out what is actually available now rather than what was available last year.
